Questions families ask
Will this tell me if my mother qualifies?
No, and nothing that says it will is telling you the truth. Only the agency running a program can determine eligibility. We tell you which programs plausibly fit, which rule each answer rests on, and what to bring to the office.
Do I have to give an email address?
No. The plan appears on screen. An email address is only used if you want a private link to come back to it later, and the email carries the link rather than the plan.
What do you store?
The answer, not the person. We store which programs came back and the county, so the result can be rebuilt and audited. We do not store your name, your income figure, or your health details against an email address. We never ask for a Social Security number, Medicare number, VA file number or bank details at all.
Why does it say "we do not know" instead of no?
Because those are different, and collapsing them is the mistake that costs families money. Where we hold no verified rule for a program in your county, we say so and point at the authority, rather than quietly excluding you.
Why are some programs shown as ruled out instead of hidden?
Because knowing what to skip returns time you do not have. Every ruled-out result carries the written rule that produced it and the date we read it, so you can check us and push back.
The catalog seems small.
It is, and that is on purpose for now. A program gets in when its rule has been read from an official source and dated. We publish the count so you can watch it move rather than taking a coverage claim on faith.
Is this only for California?
Today, yes, in any real sense. Federal programs apply everywhere but the offices, limits and routes do not, so outside California the check says plainly that we have not researched your state.
Are you connected to the government?
No. We are not a government agency and not affiliated with Medicare, Medicaid, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, CalVet or any state, county or city agency.
Is this medical or legal advice?
No. It is practical navigation only. No diagnosis, no treatment recommendation, no clinical claim, and no legal opinion.
