Adult Protective Services
County agencies investigate reports of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of elders and dependent adults living in private homes, apartments, hotels and hospitals, and of those experiencing or about to experience homelessness. Anyone can report, and you do not need proof before calling. They also provide information and referral to other agencies.
How to apply
Call 1-833-401-0832 and enter the 5 digit ZIP code when prompted to be connected to the county agency. Seven days a week, twenty four hours a day.
What we screen on
These are the rules the checker actually uses. Every one carries the source it was read from and the date it was read, so you can check us.
We hold no bright-line eligibility rule for this programme yet. That means we will not narrow it, and we will not rule anybody out of it. The agency decides, and the official page below is the place to start.
